A piece of fashion history. Gianni Versace Medusa belt. Black leather and gold gorgeousness. Update: To give as full disclosure as possible, after I took off the belt that I wore with this green dress pictured, I was so sad to see black marks left on the silk dress. Vintage belts need to be taken to a cobbler and have some protection applied to the inside. Or wear with black clothes or a fabric not as delicate as silk! Also please note that the buckle does not always stay secure. It does definitely work though.

barbarajill555 @gv_collective 90x36. I just added a picture, which shows how some of the underside left residue on my dress. The front of the belt is fine.

khikhi06 how many inches is the actual belt. Normally I wear a 95 but sometimes the belt is a little longer and a cobbler can add an extra hold if there's extra space.

barbarajill555 @khikhi06 I measured 30 1/2 inches laying flat

khikhi06 @barbarajill555 I just checked and I have two vintage Versace belts and they are indeed a 90. I was smaller when I got them 16 years ago and I took them to the cobbler to and two extra holes. They aren't as long as my other belts but my waist is not that big, plus I'm thinking about getting that cool sculpting done.😁😁😁😁😁

khikhi06 @barbarajill555 is there space at the end of the belt to add an extra hole or two? Would you please take a picture of the part we're the holes are.
Mar 17Reply
barbarajill555
barbarajill555 @khikhi06 I think it could be done by a cobbler. There’s space for extra notches at the end but I don’t want to mess with it personally. Took some pics and will add to listing.

khikhi06 @barbarajill555 the holes in Pic 5, 6 & 7 is that to adjust the buckle. Thank you for posting the video but I must be missing something because I still don't see where I would add the holes.🤦🏽‍♀️

barbarajill555 @khikhi06 Ok, it’s really hard to show because it’s black and really secured in the gold part tight, and I don’t want to loosen it on my own. I just added two more pictures trying to show where I believe holes could be added. There is about an inch from the gold studs under the gold bars to the pointed end. There are even holes there, the more I study it!

khikhi06 @barbarajill555 I hate to be a pain in the behind but is the belt adjustable is that's why the holes are there or I would have to take it to a cobbler to have the buckle or metal loops moved.
Mar 17Reply
barbarajill555
barbarajill555 @khikhi06 Yes, I guess that’s what I’ve tried to say, that it looks adjustable but is very tight and I’m afraid of trying to move it around myself but would take it to a cobbler. I know how difficult it is to visualize and for me to describe, but it sure looks as though those holes are functional, and that would give you the extra inch. It’s a stiff leather, and I just don’t want to start adjusting it on my own!
