1wppk2 are there any stains or marks on the dress? is it white white? thanks!

cblack69 @1wppk2 no stains or tears. It was preserved professionally and has been in a box until I took these photos. It will definitely need to be pressed. It’s not a pure bright white but it’s not ivory. This material was one that Vera wang created i was told.

chewiethedog @cblack69 do you know the name or model of this dress? What year did you buy it?
Jun 08Reply
cblack69
cblack69 @chewiethedog I have no idea. It was the only Vera Wang gown in the shop. I bought it in a boutique in Brighton NY called Jacquelines. I hope that helps.

chewiethedog @cblack69 thank you :) what year did you buy it? Also, how long is the train?
Jun 08Reply
cblack69
cblack69 @chewiethedog I bought it in 2006. The train bustles and extends about 4’ beyond the hem of the dress I believe. Sorry I don’t have exact info. It was professionally preserved and removed only to take these photos.

alr00 @thislittlerose I’m not the seller, but I tried this exact dress on at Saks Fifth Avenue in 2001, so it’s from the couture line. The original price is accurate.

thislittlerose @alr00 this is my dream dress! I hope the length has not been altered. how did you find the fit? i am an inverted triangle , so am unsure if the bodice will accomodate. most gowns are designed for tiny tops.

cblack69 @thislittlerose sorry I was logged out of my account. I found it at a boutique. It’s a custom material exclusive to Vera Wang. It’s about a size 4 and the bust is approx a 34C.

cblack69 @thislittlerose also the gown will need to be pressed. It was professionally preserved in a box until my daughter (photographed in my listing) decided to try it on for fun since she’s only 17. We folded it as best we could back into the box.

thislittlerose @cblack69 hello! i changed dress direction AGAIN. what height will the dress accomodate? (your height plus heel height with the hem still hovering at the floor). thank you!
Jul 02Reply
cblack69
cblack69 @thislittlerose I’m 5’6” and I believe I wore a 3” heel. I know there is also room in the hem if you need more length.

thislittlerose
thislittlerose @cblack69 i am 6' without heels. would it be possible to take a photo of the hem? most seamstresses cut the extra fabric.

cblack69 @thislittlerose yes absolutely but I’m out of town. Is tomorrow ok?

fatcat1024
fatcat1024 @cblack69 Hi, is this street size 4 or vera wang size 4 ?
Jun 12Reply
cblack69
cblack69 @fatcat1024 it’s Vera. But when I wore it I was a true size 4. My daughter who is photographed here was a regular size 0. I’m 5’6” and I weighed 128 when I got married. She was 5’5” and weighed maybe around 116. I’m not sure if it shrunk after we had it preserved.

seaotterxing
seaotterxing Hi! May I please know the measurements of the dress? I am normally 6 and I don’t know if I could squeeze in…

cblack69
cblack69 @seaotterxing hi. I do not have the exact measurements and I wouldn't trust my measuring skills 😐. I did have it taken in and hemmed but I don't recall how much. I was 128 lbs and 5'6" when I wore this. However, after preserving it, my daughter (pictured here) tried it on for fun and as you can see it fit her perfectly other than length. She was a size 0! Vera Wang's sizing does run differently. My best guess is that it probably won't fit 😢😩. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

cblack69 @cameronwebb666 sorry I haven't been getting notifications for some reason. My daughter informed me she would like me to save it for her ☺️. I'm sorry.
