NWT zips closed across the top. It's just the right size to slip on your shoulder. It measures approximately 10 inches tall by 13 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches thick. The single handle extends approximately 10 inches above the bag and is attached with silvertone signature rings. The bag is made of cotton and the inside pattern coordinates with the outside. There are 2 slip pockets inside and 2 zippered pockets on the front. The bottom of the purse has a cardboard base that is removable.
