The luxury train line began in 1883 and has sold many beautifully made souvenir items that travelers have asked for. The VSOE gained a lot of publicity from Agatha Christie’s mystery fiction novel which is set on the train. Two popular films based on that book came along and boosted additional demand for the items; some others listed as well.
