Vintage cockatoo by Royal Copley displays his pink and blue feathers with an applied blue flower at its base. He is 6.75 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide at his base. After much research using reference books and internet information this is an example of Royal Copley. However, this pretty bird does not have his label anymore. He has the same features, colors and hues as well as style of Royal Copley. Royal Copley was one of three major product lines produced by the Spaulding China Company of Ohio. The Royal Copley line was primarily sold in five & dime chain stores. They had a motto of 'Gift shop merchandise at chain store prices'. They were in operation from 1942-1957. For about a couple of years after, some of the products were completed by China Craft to fulfill orders. During their main years of operation many items were produced with varying styles and colors. However, they most often carried over similar qualities and details making them recognizable by many today, even without their labels. This is why we believe this cutey is of the Royal Copley line. He is in very nice condition and still shines with beauty with no chips or cracks. He would love to find a nice family to enjoy time with, showing off his lovely colorful feathers!
