VTG GERMAN SIGNED BEER STEIN TANKARD NO LID HAND PAINTED COBALT This HEAVY (weighs 1.5lbs) art pottery beer stein was made in Germany and signed on the bottom. I cannot identify the maker. It features a raised wheat farm pattern complete with a hand plow and farmer planting seeds and harvesting the wheat. It is hand painted cobalt blue. There is a slot in the handle to accommodate a pewter lid. It is 4.25" tall and 4.75" in diameter at its widest and is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, breaks, chips or repairs. There is no lid. (See photos).
