VTG- Queen Nefertiti Detailed Bust Gilt Egyptian Revival Brooch

I’m unsure of the age of this brooch, but as you can see from the pictures, it has an open C-Clasp where the pin extends beyond the clasp, meaning it’s a bit older. The original Nefertiti bust was created by famed artist, Thutmose, and is a painted stucco covered limestone creation of The Great Royal Wife of Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten. The piece was actually unfinished, created circa 1345 BCE, and discovered later among several examples of other bust models of the royal family, used as a reference to create more pieces in Thutmose in his workshop in Amana. It’s likely one of the most often copied works of ancient Egypt. This brooch is a large, beautifully detailed profile of Queen Nefertiti, also with the look of limestone and incomplete, like the original.
