Vintage Navajo Cecil Henry Sterling Silver & Oval Turquoise Centered In Stamp Work Oval Concho & Feather Earrings, 2 1/2" L x 7/8" W, wt.-12 G
These graceful earrings make a statement, from the beautiful blue Turquoise oval cabochons set in saw tooth bezels in the center of the oval conchos to the beautiful stampwork of petals or feathers surrounding the Turquoise with an outside border of suns rays. Hanging below each concho are two heavily stamped feathers.
The conchos themselves measure approx 1 1/8" L x 7/8" W. The approx. total length of the earrings are 2 1/2" L. On reverse, the earrings are each stamped Sterling and H, the known hallmark of Cecil Henry. There is a slight bend in the post of one earring (see photo), but it doesn't seem to effect wear. Condition is otherwise very good given age & use. Please see photos & video as they are a part of the description.
Cecil Chee Henry was born Sept. 25, 1958, in Ganado, Arizona, into the Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan), born for Tó’aheedl’inii (Water Flow Together Clan). He died Jan. 14, 2018, in Black Rock. He was a well-known silversmith from Canyon De Chelly.
