Beautiful vintage, amber colored, mid-20th century, bell shaped decanter bottle with stopper, and matching glass set. Likely made in Empoli, a town in Tuscany, Italy, known for its glass production dating back to the 1500s. The glass from this region, originally known as "verde" (green), evolved into various colors and styles over time. Amber-colored glass is a common color for Empoli glass from the mid-century period. Empoli glass items often had a "Made in Italy" sticker or paper label, which may be missing in some vintage pieces. Features: Excellent condition. Made in Italy sticker on bottom of glass; no marks or signatures on the decanter bottle which is often the case with vintage pieces. Amber art glass. No seams. Rounded base, a slender neck on the bottle. Ground bottle mouth and stopper. Approximate Measurements: Bottle is 8" tall alone, 10" tall with stopper; 4.5" wide at base. Glass is 2.25" tall; 2" wide at mouth.
