VTG Holland Figurines Dutch Boy Girl and Windmill Porcelain Made In Japan 40s Good condition. Clean. No chips, there is wear to the paint. There are only 2 pails. Hollow figurines of a Dutch boy and girl with yokes to carry water pails. Only 2 pails available in the set. The windmill spokes are held with a wire. It can be spun. Boy and girl: 4" T Windmill: 3" T 2 Pails: 3/4" T The boy and girl are marked Made In Japan on their lower backs, both raised and printed. It is thought these were made during Occupied Japan (1945-1952), but they are not marked as that. I feel they were produced earlier as tourist items.
