Vintage- Signed Goldette NY © Articulated Chain Link 3-Dimensional Bracelet W/ Hinge Clip Clasp
Goldette was a company that lasted from the ‘50s - 1979 when they sadly went out of business.
Despite the fact that they had such a short life compared to their competitors, I have yet to come across a piece of their jewelry that has not been artfully crafted and made to last. This was not a make a piece for a season & throw it out mentality.
Their jewelry is often influenced by Etruscan, Victorian, Egyptian and Asian cultural periods of fashion in history.
This three dimensional work of art is no exception.
It features:
- 8 alternating articulated chain links
- Each link is either a decorative oval shape with a large Opaline Cabachon or a floral piece with decorative petals and small Pearl centers (it’s hard to capture the true perfection with a camera).
- Detailed metal work throughout including the decorative clasp which is signed and something that Goldette is known for. The only exceptions to that are some of the longer pendants that are signed but have unsigned necklaces. Maybe that was intentional, maybe they had hangtags that fell off (but always be certain to check for their signature). Companies like KJL had similar designs and many of those pieces are unsigned. Or, if you see the piece documented (which is rare- little is known about Goldette).
I also have the matching necklace! Posting it soon ❤️
