VTG Designer AUGUSTE BONAZ Hand Carved Tortoiseshell French Hair Clip, XL, NOS

I recently - and very excitedly- came across a small handful of vintage Auguste Bonaz French hair clips! Bonaz was a celebrated & well respected Parisian jewelry and accessory designer, making some of the most sought after pieces still today. All of the pieces I’ll be listing were hand carved and are one of a kind. They’re old store stock from a long gone high end Parisian boutique. Hand carved and in a tortoiseshell color with a silver French clip back. Signed by A. BONAZ with his classic signature. His signature was always very subtle so it hard to see but it’s there. You’ll find the signature on this piece is in the center, right above the middle of the metal hair clip. The hair clip is in great condition and is deadstock. It has some very light scratching from being stored for so many decades. The scratching isn’t noticeable unless viewing up close and isn’t visible while being worn. Measurements 3.75” across at its longest in the front & 1.75” top to bottom at its longest. The silver clip back measures a bit over 3” long. Great for quick updos, fancy updos, a quick ponytail, etc. A great designer statement piece!
