VTG AMERICAN GIRL SAMANTHA’S BRASS BED WITH 3 PIECE BEDDING 1994 ALL ORIGINAL American Girl Samantha's Brass Bed, a retired accessory for the Samantha doll released by Pleasant Company (now American Girl) in 1986. Key features include: • Design: A three-piece brass-plated metal frame with a white cotton tufted mattress and a matching bedspread, all adorned with pink bows. Three-piece brass bed frame. Headboard and footboard pieces are identical save their height. The upper horizontal bar is topped with two brass curlicues that mirror each other, forming a shape at the center resembling the top of a heart. • Era: Reflects the Edwardian era of 1904, when Samantha's story is set. • Collectibility: Original versions like this one especially those with soft white cloth bodies, are highly sought after by collectors. • • Rarity: Discontinued in 2008 but rereleased in 2014 and again as a special edition in 2021, making the original brass bed a vintage item.
