Vintage 80’s Rayon Velvet Dress with Taffeta Bow. By Mitchell Rodbell for Jessica Howard. Beautiful Midnight Blue Velvet with an iridescent Purple Collar/Bodice Trim that has a large Bow in the center front. It hooks in the back with 2 hooks & eyes. The dress has a back zipper as well as a discreet 4” back slit. Princess seamed. Labeled a 14 but oh my, how US sizing has changed since 40 years ago! Calling it a Medium due to measurements. The first photo was taken in the sunlight to better show the iridescence in the taffeta. Excellent Vintage Condition. The bodice lining (which is boned by the way) has some discoloration/fading which is very common with vintage lining. Back Zipper works great, no holes, rips or stains to velvet. (The light/white streak on the bust is from the sun.)Made in USA. Such a beauty.
