Though unable to find the associated catalog or newspaper advertisement for this particular piece, advertisements for similar tiered pieces were produced from the late 1950s to the early 1960s referred to as Handled Tiered Serving Trays. The round tray features a stunning flower design called "Petal" that ressembles the beloved sunflower and was often referred to as "Petal Ware". The tray is made of sturdy glass and comes with a center metal handle for easy carrying.
