@rebekahwants thank you for liking this gorgeous dragon green metallic bag. I work with everyone’s budget. I sent an offer. Little info, anything above $500 of sale price in Poshmark, it is automatically shipped to Poshmark’s authentication hub :). And from there, poshmark sends it to you.

@odikura I love it, but honestly I collect them, and this bag is a little overpriced for me. It is a rather unique color, I hope you get it. It’s good for my WD SALES. I do want this bag though. Thank you for writing to me. I appreciate that. Come check me out!

@rebekahwants it was my husband’s grandmother bag :). Found it in the boxes of my mother in law’s basement which she kept as a keepsake of her grandmother and mother’s (husband’s great-grandma and grandma), including antique dresses from the 20s. Let me know what price you would want it for yourself or shop - since you are a collector. i love collectors! I get it. We collect fine art pre-90s and its endless love!

@odikura I would date your green bag as from the 70s to 80s because of the zipper pull and label, they started that label sometime In seventies. It’s a quite unusual color though. Great piece

@rebekahwants would you know when they did the sewn on the label in the interior? This one has a loose tag label on the side. I was researching when WD actually sewn on the label on the middle of the interior. All I know regarding this history, per my mother-in-law, she mentioned her mother saw it on a fashion catalog and purchased it immediately in NYC.

@rebekahwants [adding to my previous comment], the interior lining has WD printed, but feels sewn in, on it. Cant seem to find any info when they stopped doing it for this line.

@odikura I believe those were produced from 70s to 90s. Early ones are stamped, 40s through 60s had silk lining with small rectangle tag. There are also ones made internationally starting in the 80s but they will say international on them. I have a book on W&D

@odikura interesting. A lot of times they were made special for Macy’s or other fine botiques. It could be a special order. I’ve seen that shape and style, and lining and zipper pull, but I’ve never seen that color.

@odikura it’s a beautiful book, but mine mostly talks about the antique ones from the 79s on they don’t say to much. At least in my book. There are probably some different ones about the later years. Good luck and happy learning and discovering Whiting and Davis. An incredible company! Love a fellow collector! ❤️Bek
