VNTG Black suede Bottega Venata famous “butterfly bag”, in black. Purchased at the BV store on Mich. Ave in Chicago, in the early 90s. It’s in excellent VNTG condition. Inside of zipper area, under flap, is a small repair where fabric was glued and sewn by my shoe guy & it has held fast. See pic. This bag is about 35 years old, & looks fabulous because it has been well taken care of. This was quite a famous bag in its day! Dust Bag included. See measurements in comments.

kk711 @kahukl hello & thank you for this very nice message, which for some reason I just saw about 5 minutes ago! I’m glad your daughter likes her BV bag, as I am simply crazy about them. I can’t remember if this butterfly bag was my first bag, or the one that your daughter has. I do remember purchasing both however. Their beautiful store in Chicago was the most fabulous ever and their staff was wonderful. I’m wondering now if my daughter still has the bag I gave her! Maybe I want it back now! 🤨😂

kk711 @kahukl Hi Karen, So funny, I was just downstairs, getting the boots and purse. I was worried that the weight would go over the poshmark limit, but it does not. I’m so glad because they charge so much for anything over 5 lbs. Wait until you see these boots they are fabulous! That is my daughter in the pic, modeling hers.. she loves them! I was down in my basement with my cleaning lady from 10:30 until 2:30!!We are re-organizing my entire basement, and then I’m going to have it repainted & my phone doesn’t work down there as WiFi is too weak. kk711 @kahukl (cont) The price I worked from was the $315 ( purse) plus cost of boots and gave you a 25% discount as a bundle/return customer discount. No further discount can be given due to Posh 20% and rarity of bag. If bag is not sold by August, I will repost it for Fall/Winter at original price of $350 which it was when you saw it when you bought your daughters bag. I had a feeling that you thought I could give a further discount than the 24 hour sale which unfortunately I cannot.🙋🏻‍♀️Kathryn

kk711 @kahukl sorry, I had a phone call in the middle of my text. Basically the purse is/was at its absolute lowest at $250. I can now understand that you prob thought by bundling it with the boots, there would be another discount beyond the 24 hour sale, but I truly cannot do it, even if I had realized there were a couple hours left in the sale. You are, however, saving approximately $100 from the $315 price of purse, combined with the animal print boots. 🤪Kathryn

rwessellmd @kk711 Dear katheryn, I purchasedthis butterfly bag in February 1978 from Little Switzerland in the US Virgin islands.mine is a beautiful chocolate brown much larger than yours it's a hobo style which included a beautiful tortoise shell mirror and a large clutch inside the big pocketbook unfortunately, the mirror and clutch purse were stolen on the way home.

kk711 @rwessellmd oh no...I’m sorry those pieces were stolen. I have seen this bag in the chocolate brown that you have, it is beautiful! I have been to that very same Little Switzerland store. Mine was purchased in Chicago but maybe a year or so later. I have downsized my home and as much as I dislike selling these bags, I simply do not have the room to properly store them anymore. I adore Bottega Venata Bags🥰🥰🥰 Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
