This handsome vintage Classic Illustrated Sherlock Holmes book contains the original Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as they first appeared in the British magazines—37 short stories. The black & white illustrations are dark & moody and so well done. This would be a great read and/or a beautiful display piece. The magnifying glass IS NOT just a prop—I need it because letters seem to be getting smaller the older I get:). Beautiful vintage condition-no stains or tears/minimal normal vintage surface wear.
