VINTAGE WWII 1942 - BONA ALLEN x US NAVY x US MAIL Postal Leather Messengers Bag

Condition: Great vintage condition considering it's older than either US Presidential Candidate :| Moderate discoloration throughout. Moderate verdigris at fasteners. Dust at interior. Could use a condition but I didn't want to modify its current state. The most notable sign of wear is a bit of surface cracking at the leather front fastener strap, but should clear up if you decide to condition. Details: - Marked 10/1942 - Manufactured in the USA by Bona Allen for the US Mail service, but specifically for the US Navy's division of the US Mail service. - This is not a USPS postal bag because it predates the existence of the USPS by almost 30 years. - Features PROPERTY OF THE US NAVY stamped into several straps and the US Navy anchor emblem engraved on the strap clasps and stamped inside the main flap. Size: Measures approx 18" W x 14" H with an adjustable shoulder strap.
