VINTAGE VINYL 1966 The Monkees: Meet The Monkees (no barcode) - VG. There is one mark on the vinyl on Side 2 (see the LAST picture). Otherwise the LP is in great condition. Comes from a smoke free home. Music The album features state-of-the-art pop/rock with complex arrangements and guitar solos. The Monkees' debut LP was recorded with top session players, including Hal Blaine, Glen Campbell, Jim Gordon, and Al Casey. Peter Tork also contributed guitar to some tracks. Album cover The back cover of the album features a "film strip" with photos from two episodes of the TV series The Monkees. The photos are from "Your Friendly Neighborhood Kidnappers" and "The Spy Who Came in from the Cool". The cover also includes brief stats on each band member. Reissue The album was reissued in 1968 with the Colgems' logo replacing the word "Colgems" on the bottom right-hand corner of the reverse side. Hits The album included the hits "Theme From The Monkees" and "Last Train to Clarksville".
