I love collecting vintage postcards. The time spent digging, researching, and curating is a hobby of mine.
My collection is mostly mid-Century linen postcards. Until May 19, 1898, when Congress passed the Private Mailing Card Act, the Post Office was the only establishment allowed to print postcards. Passing this act now allowed private publishers & printers to produce postcards; thus beginning the Golden Age of American postcards.
