VINTAGE Memory of Tokyo Tower Commemorative Medallion~Cast Bronze Japanese Medal

This Vintage, High Relief Bronze Art Medal commemorates the TOKYO TOWER, located in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Built in 1958, Tokyo Tower was the world's tallest freestanding tower at 333 meters. It was a symbol of Japan's economic growth during that time. The Art Medal measures 1 1/4" in diameter x 1/8". The obverse shows a view of the Tokyo Tower surrounded by the phrase "MEMORY OF TOKYO TOWER 333M" and a decorated border. Reverse pictures Mt. Fujiyama and a Japanese Bridge. Japanese script is on top and a limited edition number of 46 7 5 is below. At 332.9 meters (1,092 ft), TOKYO TOWER was the tallest tower in Japan until the construction of Tokyo Skytree in 2012. It is a lattice tower inspired by the Eiffel Tower. A beautifully rendered, historical medallion is in Excellent Condition with nice patina.
