VINTAGE MĀORI MOKO PARATA HANDCARVED TRIBAL TRADITIONAL

This is ONLY the unpainted Māori Mask. (see separate listing for painted mask). Vintage Hand carved traditional tribal Māori Parata masks, often carved from one piece of soft wood. This mask does not have eye or mouth cutouts. Being sold as Art/wall decor/decoration ONLY. They hold significant cultural and spiritual meaning. They frequently depict ancestors and are recognizable by their distinctive moko patterns, which are traditional facial tattoos. Often mislabeled made of African handiworkers, this is from New Zealand Māori. Ready for wall hanging display with attached loop. Measures approximately 9.5" x 16.5".
