VINTAGE LOT of 2: Hand-painted Apollo and Athena Greek God/Goddess Plates

VINTAGE LOT of 2: Hand-painted Apollo and Athena Greek God/Goddess Plates - Handmade and hand-painted by xipolias in Epidavros, Greece (see back of plates) - Made of terracotta - Plates reflect the Greek spelling of Apollo (ATTOMAN) and Athena (AOHNA) going vertically down the left of the plate on the white area - Typical Greek style with black & red figures painted on a white (ivory) background - Apollo is playing a lyre and Athena has her helmet & shield, along with an owl on the pedestal beside her - Traditional Greek key border painted in black - There is a small blemish on Athena's dress where the red is missing (see pic) - These are decorative, collectible plates that are meant to be hung/displayed using the integrated hook on the back of plate - Good condition; shows some wear for age and they had also been displayed - See pictures for measurements - Sold as is - Crossposted #462
