VINTAGE COBALT BLUE GLASS INK BOTTLES SCARCE TO FIND LOT OF 2

This lot of 2 vintage ink bottles are in a more scarce to find color glass, cobalt blue. Produced to hold ink for a fountain pen, many users had metal inkwell holders that would hold the bottle of ink in a cradle, & since it took a while to get through a bottle, users wanted a more eye appealing look. A few manufacturers started dabbling in cobalt glass to please their customers, but found it was more costly to produce, & because of the rich color, it was more difficult to view how much ink was remaining in the bottle, so most put a halt to production! The shapes are interesting to look at, & when placed in the sunlight, really come to life & beam their colorful beauty! The octagonal shaped bottle with the cork measures 2-3/4”x2-1/2”, & the other bottle measures 2” square x 2-1/4”H. There is sticker residue on its base, I’ll leave that to you to remove. Both are in fantastic condition, please view pics. Part of an extensive collection of inkwells, bottles, & fountain pens that are slowly being listed in my closet, this duo can be used for plant propagation or bud vases, in addition to a whimsical way to hold q-tips or makeup brushes at the vanity!
