VINTAGE 1970s HAND MADE SERBIAN NAVIP SLIVOVITZ PLUM BRANDY WOODEN CANTEEN FLASK

This vintage empty wooden canteen flask was handmade in Serbia (part of Yugoslavia at the time) in the 1970s as a special limited edition for the famous Serbian brandy manufacturer, Navip. Made in a traditional folk-art styling and shaped as a miniature reproduction of traditional oak wooden barrels in which a freshly distilled plum brandy would have been placed for further aging in order to attain its best flavor. Inside this hand crafted mini barrel is a classic round glass bottle. The wooden canteen is reinforced with metal straps and it also has four metal legs for safe displaying as well as a colorful woven shoulder strap with a weaving pattern typical of traditional Serbian folk outfit belts and shoulder carrying bags. The original twist-off bottle cap is included. The wood hand-engraved inscription: БАРДАКЛИЈА СТАРА ШЉИВОВИЦА NAVIP 1848 PLUM BRANDY SLIVOVITZ The Glass Bottle volume: 750ml NOTE: Bottle is empty!
