VHS San Francisco Clark Gable Jeanette MacDonald Jeanette MacDonald persuaded a skeptical Clark Gable to star opposite her in the 1936 production of San Francisco. As an additional attraction, Spencer Tracy was cast as the sparring priest, Father Mullin.
