@blcasey820 What is the measurement from armpit to armpit straight across the front while lying flat? And across the waist, uncinched? And from the back neck seam to the bottom hem down the back? Thanks!

@nicums991 I will get those in just a few min!

@nicums991 Armpit to armpit straight across the front: around 20.5”
From tie to tie (flat and untied) : 21”
Back neck seam to bottom: 36”
Let me know if you have more questions!

@blcasey820 thanks! Is the back area, where the belt would cinch it due to how the belt is attached to it on the sides, open? As in, is it like a flap in the back?

@blcasey820 and what size is your mannequin?
Apr 14Reply

blcasey820
@nicums991 I am not sure what you mean in the first comment, the mannequin is a medium 6/8, measurements from where I bought it say 34" bust 26" waist 35" hips. It is big on the mannequin

@nicums991 I added more pictures of the back and tie if that helps. The tie is sewn on and sewn on the top across the back but not on the bottom

@blcasey820 ok, no worries. Some dresses with the belt like this one have a flap in the back instead of the top being actually sewn into the waistline. Does this brand run a bit small? Not sure what your normal size is.

@blcasey820 for example in your second photo it looks like the top part is a bit “over” the skirt piece. Like the back waistline is hidden/covered under a “flap”.

@blcasey820 ok those pics help. So the belt is part of the top and so there is a “flap” but it is not open like where air can get in, if you will. The skirt portion is sewn into the top. The belt just makes the top sit over the waistline.

@nicums991 so the great thing about this dress is technically no waistline until you tie it! I am 5’9 so things hit me in odd places that already have the waistline sewn in but this dress doesn’t have a distinct waistline sewn in. I was about a size 12 when I wore it and very busty

@nicums991 I added two more pictures of the dress untied so you can see

@blcasey820 thank you, that helps! Is the material flowy and light?
Apr 14Reply

blcasey820
@nicums991 It's flowy (not stiff at all) but it's thicker (you wouldn't be able to see though it if you wore black under it, I think, I didn't try) I would be comfortable wearing it in Spring/Summer (depending on what I was doing maybe not outside full sun) and I wore it for New Years Eve with tights and knee high boots with a cape (I am in South Carolina)

@blcasey820 ok, thanks for all the help! It’s a pretty and vibrant color and I’m going to double check one of my fave dresses to compare the measurements again. 🌸
