Asymmetrical Denim Midi-Maxi Skirt with Plaid Inserts

This was one of my Covid projects that I wore all of once and has been hanging in the closet ever since. I have a grunge aesthetic and a passion for plaid, but my sewing skills are modest, so I only tackle simple projects. This was pretty straightforward…some baggy jeans and remnants of yellow plaid come together in a low slung skirt that fits many, depending on if you wear it on the waist or low on the hips. The waistband is raw, and trimmed with grosgrain ribbon. There’s a hook-eye and zipper closure in the front and the waist is about 36”. Shortest length in front is 27” and goes as long as 37”at its longest point.
