Upcycled Denim Maxi Skirt

Upcycled denim jeans into maxi skirt! I added an extra pocket to the left hip wrapped in lace with button detail. I handcrafted functional cargo pockets that include patchwork and lace details. Each cargo pocket is flap covered. Patchwork on back is a distressed patch from a pair of jeans, followed by a layer of lace, and another layer of black denim to give contrast in the fraying and to make the lace pop! I added 8 rivets at the bottom and strung lace through it and sewed the bow closed. This is assembled with a double cross stitch for durability. The base pair of jeans are considered high rise and have some stretch. It is versatile and can be worn as a high, mid, or low rise. All depends on the style you are going for. Check measurements below to ensure it’s fit for you! I washed to start the fraying process, snipped all stringy pieces off, and hung dried. It will not fray past the stitching, so you don’t have to worry about it falling to pieces after a few washes.
