Unusual Cufflinks Different Monograms A & Z Vintage

Unusual vintage cuff links with different monograms on each side. I've never heard of this and wonder if maybe two men shared this pair. One side has the monogram FJD and the opposite GFW. They're the same on both sides, with nice Greek key edging in goldtone metal and swivel type connector. Marked "A & Z". They're 3/4" wide and in beautiful vintage condition with no issues.
