Not worn too much (I’m the orig owner), but these are old and made of faux leather, so they’re starting to age—more on that below. But they still have some life left! Decorative stitch accents at sides (outer toe). Buckle closure with nickel-colored hardware. Pretty comfortable as far as heels go. Roomy toe box. Heels have a slightly flared shape. I never wear heels this high anymore, otherwise I’d keep them. I bought these around 2002/2003. No real scuffs or marks. Some light creasing around toe box. But given that they’re faux leather and it’s been 20 years, the material has started to break down a bit. It may not have helped that I stored these in a plastic shoe box (as I do for most of my shoes, with the exception of some flats, sneakers and boots, which are on a shoe rack). I’ve since put them in a regular shoe box so they can breathe. They’re still wearable if you don’t mind the flaws: there are some places where the faux leather has come off or is cracking (see photos; I think I managed to point out all the spots) and the the faux leather surface is a bit sticky, which I read can happen to faux leather with age. This is only on the outsides, though—NOT on any of the inner surfaces where the foot would touch. Not super sticky. I kept checking to make sure it really was like that, so that’s what I mean by not super sticky. Heel caps are a bit worn at the back. Size 8 (I bought theses when I was a size 8 but now I'm an 8.5 and could still wear them) Heel: 3 3/8" SFPF

kokoswiss Hi there, would you kindly measure the insole please? Thanks so much for your time. 🌹

polychrome @kokoswiss I’m out of town for a couple of weeks, but if you’re still interested, I could measure them when I get back. Sorry! But for reference, I now wear 8.5 in most brands but these shoes still fit.

polychrome @kokoswiss The insole is around 10 1/8”.

kokoswiss @polychrome thanks so much. Are you sure it’s 10.8 and not 9.8? Only asking as that sounds large for a size 8/8.5. Thanks again for your time.

kokoswiss I meant 10 1/8, sorry :)

polychrome @kokoswiss Unfortunately, these measurements can be a bit tricky because people may do it differently. I did it by putting a flexible tape measure up against the middle of the inside toe box and measured to the outer edge of the shoe, holding it down along the sole. Based on measurements of my other shoes, this length seems to correspond to an 8.5.

polychrome @kokoswiss I also just tried them on again to test the sizing. My feet, which are now size 8.5, fit without going over the back edge of the sole. But back when I bought them, I was a size 8 and, as I recall, they fit just fine. I think these are on the larger side for an 8, but if you’re anywhere between 8 and 8.5, you’d be fine. There’s just extra room for 8.5s because the back is open.

kokoswiss @polychrome thank you so much for taking so much time to explain. I really appreciate it. I usually wear a 9.5, hence my cautious optimism... it sounds like I could possibly fit into these if those are indeed the measurements... I’ll have a think. Thanks again for your time and help!

polychrome @kokoswiss No problem! I suspect these might be too small for size 9.5, though. Since the heel is open, maybe (maybe) a size 9 could fit, but 9.5 might be pushing it. I’m a size 8.5 in most brands and my heel is close to the edge, although I have wide feet, so perhaps there would be more space at the heel for a narrower 8.5 foot. Let me know if there are any other measurements, etc., that I could give you to help determine whether they would fit!

kokoswiss @polychrome thanks again for such a thorough response. My feet are narrow, so maybe that’s why I was optimistic. Maybe I should try on a pair of sling backs and see... I do wear 8.5 in some sandals (especially Lucky Brand), so maybe they could work... I’ll have a think, but thanks again for your time 🌹

polychrome @kokoswiss These are technically a size 8, but they’re a bit larger than what’s typical. Trying on other sling backs in size 8.5 sounds like a good plan, though :)

kokoswiss Hi again :) Just rereading these and want to make sure you meant 10 1/8 and not 9 1/8? Thanks again so much for your time.

polychrome @kokoswiss Yes, 10 1/8", but my sz 8.5 shoes are usually around 10" the way I measure them. I have an idea for checking whether they'd fit--measure one of your shoes the way I measured: insert the end of a flexible tape measure into the middle of the shoe's toe, then hold down the tape along the sole (so that it follows the contour if there's a heel) until you get to the middle back edge. It's probably best to do this with the smallest shoe you have that fits comfortably. I hope that helps!
