This is a artisan handcrafted blue cabochon ring that has an uncanny quality to capture and reflect light and depending on the color of the coating the reflection can be any of a rainbow 🌈 of colors. This material was originally developed by NASA as a protective coating and craftsmen are using it to hand-make individual jewelry pieces. This is a new piece that was purchased from an artisan’s stand at Fort Myers Beach, FL before hurricane Ian. It’s unlikely you will see this exact one elsewhere.
