Ukrainian embroidered silk-velvet Vyshyvanka Dress

This glorious dress is a custom traditional piece that comes from the Ukraine (pre-war).    It is a glorious dark blue silk velvet that is heavy, with a beautiful hand and lined in pink silk.  It features embroidered bright pink horses that are applied, as well as traditional motifs along the neckline and sleeves. It closes with snaps.  These dresses are made for very special occasions (like weddings or meaningful holidays) by a group of women who do the work together.  This one is quite long, but could be hemmed.   It was so special, I never wore it to keep it nice.   It is more versatile than you might expect- it could be a dress, a robe, an elegant coat for a fancy evening out or a topper.  Bold and dramatic contrast, feminine details like puffed sleeves (with snaps on a band-hem), self belt with glorious tassels, no pockets.  Measurements upon request- fits a larger size.  Pristine.  Very, very special.  Unique.
