U.S. Department Of The Interior, Commendable Service Medal, U.S. Mint Struck, Bronze, Engraved and Awarded, Dated Aug. 25, 1948. The awarded bronze medals seem to be scarcer than the silver ones. Bronze, 40 mm diameter. In original box that does show wear from time/storage. See photos for details of condition. Medal is left in its original state and not polished. The patina is beautiful but could be polished if so desired.
