designsbydeedee I love your insights and you shared information that I was not aware of or didn’t realize. I appreciate that. I’m usually very wary of people who follow me that have luxury and very very expensive items in their closet. There are so many fake listings and profiles out here. I scrutinize just about every person that follows me, which takes time but works out in the long run. I tend not to follow people who do not share where they’re from or living, to me that is a red flag.

staga @jellyscloset17 Hi, Hope you’re doing good. I work two jobs. I love sharing and and selling but for me it’s pretty time consuming as I don’t add much inventory. I know sellers who only do this, if you are serious about it, will add at least 25-35 new inventory each week, I know this can be a full time job.

staga @jellyscloset17 The way the algorithm works is - the more new listings, the more the visibility, the more the visibility the more the interest, the more the interest the more the sales and even more visibility. One will have to keep interactions high (likes, comments and add to bundles) to keep oneself on top of visibility queues. I do believe it’s even more easier said than done. But so worth it. jellyscloset17 @staga thanks so much, that really helps and is motivating. I have a (non-remote) part time job (24 hours a week) and I am a full time mom and full time girlfriend. It’s a bit difficult and exhausting to drive and go to work and then come home to be a mom and a girlfriend and also be a homecook, house cleaner all at once lol so i do want poshmark to be my main source of income

jellyscloset17 @staga but i know it takes lots of hard work to achieve success on here (whatever job it is, I’m sure it takes a lot of time and effort). I’ve made about 20 sales this month which isn’t a lot, I’d love to make 20 sales each day but i know it will take some time. I need to learn to thrift shop and resell for profit; right now all I’m doing is emptying my closet and drawers to get some money back, not so much profit. It still does help though for groceries atleast.

jellyscloset17 @staga BTW- this fellow posher said that the whole algorithm is ineffective, not sure if that’s true? She said only share your items and stop following people because it does not work. She said list items and share your own items only. I don’t really agree with that per se but it looks like she has over 10,000 items and almost 9000 sold items in just a few years. Shes also on multiple platforms. Hmm i just wonder if she really does not share other peoples items.

Search Host pick in search and look for party host’s announcements listings. Commenting and following thief guidelines also brings HPs.

staga @hollychafey Hello, I looked through and see your listings are fine. Personally I believe that if we reposh we will typically sell for less than what we purchased. So usually I will prefer taking new pictures and listing rather than marking as relished. Secondly I order for sales to happen you will have to share your listings and that of other posher’s listing.

Also share 5 listing for each of the 5 posher posted. Doing so will increase your followers. When your turn comes (depends on the order of signup) you will be featured and you will receive a ton of shares and followers X

justinaugust57 @staga hi there!!! Looks like you know the ins and outs of Poshmark, I thought I did too, until this morning, lol. I do live shows, and like most live show sellers, I create a listing that I add to my tray during live shows so that likers are notified when I am Live / hosting an auction. However, this morning, woke up to my best advertising listing deleted, I was devastated! I’ve been advertising that listing for months. Since there’s a character limit, I’m going to start a new comment!

justinaugust57 @staga long story short, I lost the listing I had that I used to advertise. Either someone reported it, or Poshmark deleted it, but whatever happened, it was only about 60 likers. I’ve never had 300+ likers on a listing, like you do on this one. My question is, how!!! How do you do this? I have such great items but I seem to be under the radar and never really get many likers. staga @justinaugust57 Hi, I am sorry about that. Probably someone should have reported. It is simple and easy, reach out to posh and they will reinstate the listing. Posh is pretty prompt and easy to handle. Once the listing is reinstated you will receive an email, take a screenshot of the email and add it to the listing so if it gets reported again, it won't be removed. People report unnecessarily sometimes, unfortunately. Sorry it happened to you.

ladyjeta @staga I read the whole thing. thank you for being so honest. I feel the same way about poshmark. I've been selling and buying on here since I started so many years ago. I feel like something is off lately maybe the live shows aren't for me. because I don't like how it makes me feel when I don't sell live. oh well back to sharing. ty💞

staga @onlineshopholic Hello, not really. List atleast 10 everyday, sometimes atleast delete and re-list! I also share 1000 for each party every single day and now run at least one posh live / silent live everyday. 💕

myfurryfamily Wonderful list of How It Is!! I’ve seen sales drop since auctions probably cause I don’t have any LV or Gucci- where does everyone source so much luxury- geez! I agree- just keep sharing and putting your best pics/descriptions up there. Someone complemented me on my honesty- works for me 🙋🏻‍♀️

Posh needs to roll out a sale banner, something that would be displayed on top of the item when any buyer sees a listing typically when sellers run one to get rid of items. More power and patience to us! Kudos to your honesty, that's a crown worth wearing 👏

I was selling 30 items a month prior to March 2023 and now I might sell 1 item a month. I haven't changed anything in my patterns, follow, share, etc. but I don't list and relist much. and never done a live show. hard to do working FT. 🫤 may the New Year bring new sales! thanks again 😘❤️

mycustomcloset @staga Good Morning! thanks for confirming. I recruited 2 friends to posh& things have dried up the last 9 months for us. The live shows could be it. I can trace back to when those started & my sales slowed. most of the shows I pop in have little attendance. I messaged Posh executives. no response. they are moving volume in the live shows $3-5, but their revenue has to be down. you would think the algorithm would prioritize higher end closets & 5 star sellers, etc. 🫤
