I know that there are many hosts these days that aren't aware of what is/isn't compliant bcuz I've seen Host Pics that are a Clinique set that has skincare in it or other items of "beauty" that are not makeup/tools. There are also many ppl that are an ambassador that somehow have no-no items for sale.

I used to sell / give away skincare items but stopped months ago. Those items are still seen in my closet, just marked as sold. To be compliant, and to be considered for a Super Posher game, should I delete those sold skincare listings? Thanks

gainfollowers @time_warpdrobe Thank you! Unfortunately you cant delete or edit sold listings, so they will always be there. I at one time wasn't compliant either in my personal acct @oneinamillionjj. I did however email Posh awhile ago to ask bout that & they said as long as they are not actively selling prohibited items, then they are considered compliant. :)

When i Share and find a non-compliant Closet, i quit following and report. i did try once to alert the person to being compliant kindly and was scoffed. i did find they had removed all but one non supported item. There are many poshers out there that "think" they know the rules when in fact they don't regularly check the updated rules. I did know that you can sell used swimsuits, but only bcuz Kate had sent an email to PM awhile back. Thank you for adding it here though bcuz swimsuits is one of those things that ppl are not usually correct about.

gainfollowers @carolhazen Games are not usually welcomed on Posh due to there is always ppl that become excluded, so while we allow non PC ppl to play - we don't feature them unless they're following the rules. We do try to filter our list for the accts that are non PC, but items do get missed and/or items are added between when the acct is checked to when it's featured.

So if nail polish was once sold, but not anymore, then they're ok. Ah .. the helpful hints to the ones selling items they shouldn't. Usually that does not go over well for anyone. Lol. So I guess feel the situation out. If they're new to PM, they may not know & would benefit from being told. However there are ones that just don't care & u won't get anywhere with them.

Sure enough she had a Candle listed. i could tell she was new, and so i broadcast my sign and this one. Most, still do not see these and respond. Some don't care....

There are items that fall into the accessory/beauty category that cannot be sold simply bcuz they're not allowed to be shipped via USPS priority mail - perfume, nail polish, lotion, body wash & hair styling products are liquids (many which contain alcohol & make them flammable) are prohibited. You'll still see closets selling them. They either don't know or just don't care & are risking having their accts flagged. Hope that helps explain

PC/Non PC can get tricky but the best advice I was ever given was to think "can you wear it"? Hat? Yes. Pillowcase? No. (Well u could, but not fashionably lol) There are many exceptions to the rule as well bcuz you can't wear makeup brushes, however they help you wear makeup.

After all nail polish can pull a look together, but that's where the USPS guidelines come into play & since posh uses priority shipping, most of which travels by air - nothing liquid or flammable can be shipped - making all those things Non PC. Its unfortunate those items get ruled out & you will see many of them on here, but they are indeed prohibited.

gainfollowers @rishiga It depends on what kind. If its the wooden ones made to sit on a dresser - those aren't allowed. However if its primarily for carrying jewelry while traveling, I think those are OK & would fall under the bag/luggage category. If you're wanting to know for personal selling of a travel type, its best to email posh support & ask. I'd hate to have you base it of me & get into trouble. If the email comes back its OK, I suggest posting a copy in the listing to avoid conflict.

You can sign up to be featured by commenting "Over the Rainbow" or your favorite line from the movie. The list is still fairly long, but we feature multiple new ppl daily. Having your closet featured is just the bonus to all of this. The main objective is to help poshers increase their following. More followers = More exposure = More sales.

gainfollowers @lesmurphy13 Sry for the delay. I just looked at the above screenshot of posh ruling & it says no used underwear - so yes, used bras are OK. Not sure how used swimsuits squeak by? Chlorine must kill germs lol. Also I think its best to just report individual items if there are only a cpl. If they're notorious for selling non PC items then report the closet & u can do that by going into their full closet view & in the top right corner there are 3 vertical dots, there u can block/report a closet.

lesmurphy13 I asked Poshmark about used bras and they said that is used underwear and not allowed. I still have the msg. if you want exact wording but they did say specifically No used bras!! So people have been interpreting underwear as underpants, but Posh means both. Hope this clears it up for you.

To me, nail polish & perfume most definitely are fashion items - but since we ship priority mail, they're not allowed .. Right along with body lotion, wash etc. Its too bad. Maybe someday posh will have multiple shipping options so those items can be included .. But until then, there's other apps similar for those items ;)

gainfollowers @katd4 I can def say from personal experience that in the long run, it really is better to be compliant. (When I 1st started I wasn't) There are many poshers who will not buy/share from a closet if non pc items are present. Party hosts are "supposed to" only choose Host Picks from compliant closets (although I've seen HP's in all closets) If you have alot of items that don't fall into posh categories, there are alternate places where those can be sold ;)

oneinamillionjj @staga Hey sry I saw your question this AM, but forgot to reply until now. So if you hear from Posh that they consider it compliant, then of course they are correct. Their guidelines have some very gray areas that are almost left up to interpretation, which is why there are so many closets with items listed that shouldn't be. As for not being able to delete, I forgot all about that. Yes if u just mark not for sale, we'll call it good.

I'd checked with posh when we 1st started this about closets that had previously sold non PC items & they basically said they don't hold the past against ppl & as long as someone is not currently selling something against the rules, then they're good to go :) 👍 I'll get your turn worked into the mix. Have you ever gotten the notification from posh that says "help keep posh in tip top shape" & then they show you multiple items that have been reported & ask if u agree? Things that you report go thru that same system, so if the 2nd person agrees with you then its removed. 🌈 Jillian

We did get confirmation a few months back that NO used bras are not compliant, but we've yet to start holding it against players bcuz were pretty sure it was a rule change. gainfollowers @luanneluongo Well cellphone cases are actually ok (I believe there's a spot for them under accessories) but yeah not CDs. Then when it comes to the makeup/beauty it's really confusing. A few of the major items - perfume & nail polish cannot be sold here bcuz we use USPS priority mail & their guidelines prohibit liquids & flammables. So it's best to refer to something like ⬆this or if there's not a specific listing category for it besides "other" it's prob a no-go 🌈Jillian

Blankets are not listed specifically, but it also isn't clothing or an accessory. Let me check if there's an actual tier for it to be listed besides other. If you'd like to email PM & ask, you could. If you find out we're wrong take a screenshot of their response & add it to that listing. There may be others that perceive the ruling same as us

Some powders are allowed like pressed and loose eyeshadow but not body? Hmmm that can get confusing for folks. Also no liquids but I see primers and foundation etc so the lines get blurred. gainfollowers @kp213 I agree & understand what you're saying. In the end I think it comes down to is there a spot to list it specifically besides "other". Under makeup there is spots for primer & foundation. I think what they mean by liquids are the flammable kind nail polish, perfume etc. And that isn't posh's rule, that's USPS priority mail. If only they'd work in a "ground" mail option with Fed ex or something, then all those items could be sold. Fingers crossed for future 👍

Many closets have items they shouldn't & ppl buy stuff that shouldn't be sold. We don't personally care what anyone sells but for game purposes we check the closets. You would think that item would be ok .. styling your hair def is part of fashion, but I think it's bcuz it plugs in is why posh doesn't allow it.

I do not know for sure but I believe our list is the longest wait time in which your name has come up, so you would've came up in the others already as well.

I see host picks sometimes for items that are non pc like skincare but .. nothing I can do about it so I just don't share it. There are poshers tho that get very upset & refuse to share closets that aren't compliant & that is why we check them for the game.

That's why I left it on there bcuz largely most books are still not supported. I was just reading the posts and realized I may have some NC items in my closet and perhaps that’s why I hadn’t been featured yet......although it’s a LOT more likely your list is a mile long! It did prompt me to check with Posh though and delete a few NC items that I just didn’t even think about being NC! Yikes! Thanks for the reminders! I got a little overzealous in posting kid items when the categories widened!

peatandrepeat Your last sign says pet items are not allowed by the way. I had a zoom with Team Posh, I asked them to clarify a few things for me. I was under the impression that all things electrical was non compliant. I gave them an example of showrooms for heated blankets, humidifiers and the blog trends report highlighting a hair dryer. They said they were compliant now. The electrical items fall under tools. I didn't know if you wanted to clarify electronic items vs electrical items at all.

livedontletdie omg yay! I have an amazing water fountain that I tried out for my cats that they weren't a fan of...pretty much brand new, and brand new never used filters that came with it. I will sanitize and post!

By the way, wigs are now allowed, and believe it or not, I have sold 2 crocheted wigs for cats/dogs with curlers in them if you want to check out the picture in my closet for a laugh. My cat still hasn't forgiven me, but he was an excellent model. LOL

aliveandthrive Also, occassionally I list Meaningful Beauty products, still shrink wrapped, sells quick, is that compliant? I do not sell perfumes or used underwear or replicas, although I was tagged for a belt once but posh apologized and made item available again.

gainfollowers @aliveandthrive Hello. Yes all of those items are compliant as long as they're unused & sealed. When posh 1st started & for a long time afterwards those skincare items weren't allowed. About a year or so ago that all changed & most skincare was allowed as well as hair care & bath & body products. Aerosols & items that are flammable still are not allowed due to posh shipping which is done via priority mai. Jillianl

acomfycupoftea @gainfollowers In my closet I have some bookend images with word art (like 'be kind'). I drew them myself, but they were inspired by word art I saw on pinterest. They are not for sale, just for decoration. In the description, I wrote "inspired by (website url)" to give credit to the artist that inspired my own creation. Is this poshmark compliant (because it is not for sale) or do you think this violates poshmark's rules? Thank you!

ambaldwin88 I wish I could steal this. I’m gonna share it 10,000x instead. I’ve seen more noncompliant closets than I care to admit this week. I even made a “hall of shame” to laugh at the most egregious violations 😂 (names censored ofc). And the majority came from PA2s who basically told me to “learn my place” as if their gold star allows them to bypass PM compliance
