I had brain surgery in ‘99 to remove a tumor and stop the seizures, but now it has come back with a vengeance. nothing happened for 19 years until a few moon-turns ago when I had a number of “screaming tonic-clonic seizures” so tumor is back. I’m selling my clothes to have maybe a pip of income, although I’m gonna be out of it the 1st pic is of me after a seizure in the bathroom. UPDATE: Third brain surgery was an amazing success. I’m kinda brain dead now, but apparently it gets better. 🤷🏼‍♀️

poshlash The last two pictures are of the hair style I will have done before my 2nd brain surgery that will be in a few months. I will post a pic of how awesome it will look when I have it done. Last time I had brain surgery they ruined my hair and it took years for it to go back to its normal state. Not this time! I’m having my stylist shave it, not the surgeon, so I will look as non-sickly as possible

poshlash @mrs_ladybug Thank you 🙏🏻 I really want to shave my hair now, but I feel like I need to ruin it first... I donno why. I guess it’s so I have a sooner cause to shave it. The meds have changed the roots’ color and the ends have turned brittle. Bleh. My hair used to be my prized natural possession, and sooo long and thick... 🤷🏼‍♀️oh well. I suppose it can grow back

poshlash @weddingring Oh Thank you! My memory is terrible because the tumor is in my left ventricle where the memory area is, and now it’s pushing on the language area. I have aphasia episodes and it makes it very hard to think, read, write/type, speak, or understand. This is a new thing. I’ve had a bad memory since 1999, so I’m used to it and have coped well, but this aphasia is new. I can’t think of a good enough “thank you” so I’m blaming the aphasia 😊

poshlash @musmast12 That’s so true! When people ask me how is it I’m not freaking out, I’m like, Well, I keep breathing, and my heart keeps beating, and (to quote Tom Hanks) tomorrow the sun will rise. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The only thing that is daunting is taking showers. 😆😑

special_stuff It is weird to LIKE this. I don’t, but you are making the best of things. I have many of your same health issues- no fair, but we smile & keep on going. My brain 🧠 tumor is inoperable- when it comes & goes to movement, I lose my balance, fall a lot, sometimes language is weird, and sometimes I can’t find what I am selling. (Aaaaagghh 😫😫). You are amazing looking with all of your hair cuts, etc. Never give up.

poshlash @mermaidcolours Aw, thank you so much for your thoughts and kind words. I got one surgery done and one left to go, It’s almost over. So much of my hair has fallen out, but not all of it 😊 It didn’t go as planned, so I’m praying I don’t have to have a third surgery. I missed my dog sooo much! He wouldn’t go into my room while I was gone, so he slept on the sofa by the window! 🥺

dallaslady01 @poshlash Bless your heart, I am so sorry, I was catastrophically injured by a drug called Levaquin, 10 years ago, I’m still horrifically injured, but, I was 45, when this happened, you look so young, I will also pray for you, I have stayed alive this long, using natural methods, please google natural ways to cure...... anything , natural methods tend to really cure you. poshlash @dallaslady01 Thank you so much for your words and advice. Prayer can heal. When I was 12 I drank this (nasty) tea that had healing properties in it, and my tumor practically shriveled up and died, but it still had a blood supply. I hope you’re not suffering from your issue. 😳

In the 90’s there wasn’t as much technology than there is now, so I’m lucky that there’s something that can be done now. I’m so sorry that you’re struggling with something similar. After my first surgery when I was 12 I had to learn to laugh at myself because it kills feelings of embarrassment, plus it takes away the power of any mean words from fellow 8th graders. In adulthood I found that we can be meaner to ourselves than anyone else can.
