1929 1st edition, 'One Hundred and One Famous Poems' an anthology compiled by Roy J. Clark, published by the Cable Company, Chicago. This is a wonderful collection of poems most popular in 1929 - including Longfellow, Emerson, Tennyson, Shakespeare, and many more. The pages feature black and white drawings or photographic images of each poet to accompany each poem. Size: 8 1/4 in x 4 3/4 in.
'A Child's Garden of Verses', by Robert Louis Stevenson, 1955 edition, illustrated by Hilda Goldwag. Considered to be one of the most influential children's books of the 19th century. Fun fact: the poems are written from the point of view of the child. 64 poems in total, with simple yet charming black and white illustrations. Size: 7 1/4 in x 4 1/2 in.
Regarding both books - condition is great for their age. No tears or writing in them (with the exception of the original owner's name on the inside cover). Hardback covers shows normal wear commensurate with their age. Sold as is.
