jenjem821 hi! thanks for getting back to me. 😃 I really like this ring. any idea what type of metal or if it's plated or not? also, in the pic it appears to have a spring hinge in the back for fitting is that right? and is there any tarnish, wear, chips or scratches?

newfoundracks @jenjem821 Thanks for the great questions. Sorry for the delay in responding. I had to ask my sister who owns this ring. We’re not sure what type of metal. We believe it is not plated. It’s just a fun fashion ring with no precious metals like real gold. You are right on the dot about the ring having a spring hinge! I took a photo of all angles when I posted this listing, but for some reason the back did not upload. I have updated the listing with that additional picture. Please see the photo.

newfoundracks In regards to tarnish, wear, chips or scratches, I closely examined the ring. There are a couple of light scratches and a small discoloration in two areas. They are all on the side of the cheetah-like print. They are very difficult to see when worn. On the other side, it doesn’t look like there are any imperfections. I have updated the listing with those photos too. It was very difficult to take these photos due to the glare from the light and the ring being shiny.

I think I have seen a ring somewhere before with a spring hinge. but it's not common. that alone is rare in addition to the rest of its design!
