bowdazzle hello i hope i can explain this but if you lay it flat from side seam to seam its open cardigan 28" across but if you connect the middle lined its 22" across where you can lap it and tie and of course if you are a S,M,L,XL it fits nicely a 1X is more of open cardigan fit
