ltcsosa1 Necklace chain tarnished very easily. Leaves black on neck. Bail & turtle are discoloring as well!

They will tarnish if you do not care for your jewelry such as cleaning when not in use and storing away. Activities such as swimming, bathing, exercise whilst wearing your jewelry will break down the tarnish resistant coating. We do make these in solid gold as well, but the price is much higher. Some people have a more extreme reaction to plated jewelry depending on their body chemistry.
