I used to work at a gift shop that sold these. It’s made out of tagua. It’s a seed that comes from a palm tree that grows in South America. They carve the seeds and dye them with natural vegetable dyes. All our pieces came from Ecuador. You may have already known that but I just wanted to pass along the info in case you didn’t. I have several pieces and they’re very good quality. 💕
