Traditional Asian Light Jacket

I found this light jacket at a resell shop and fell in love. It’s so cool and such a fun piece. I truly know nothing about this piece, where it originated, and what it was used for. I looked up the tag and it seems to be in Thai and translates to Muang Cloth. Super cool piece and could be styled in so many ways. I love the red stitching and all the other details. It also has a pocket in the back! Feel free to educate me as I wish I knew more. Measurements are below. I think it would work best for a medium or even small depending on desired fit. I’m a standard large and it fit me, but not in the more oversized way I envisioned it. All measurements are approximate and from laying flat. P2P - 21.5” Total length from shoulder to bottom hem - 22”
