There is no shoulder strap and there are no protective feet. The three sections are each independent and securely zipped. The photos show that the original packing material is still there. It has a large tassel that is removeable. Always stored in a smoke-free, pet-free area. This bag is medium-heavy, and can hold small books or electronics.
