A large 10.5" tall vinyl figure in the style of Topo Gigio. this was made in 1970 by "Roy Des of Fla", apparently as a piggy bank for the Security Pacific Bank. there's no stopper visible on the body so maybe the head is removable? will not be trying.
felted uniform is remarkably free of moth holes or wear.
may be some heat damage as his baseball bat is bent wrong (could be reshaped as it's very soft) and the feet have a slight forward curve that makes him lean forward and not balance well. otherwise in excellently preserved condition.
Topo Gigio was a popular Italian puppet who was performed via shadow puppetry techniques. in 1963 he appeared on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time and achieved international fame, leading to many toys and figures like this one being produced.
