ntjmk @happycolleen, hi there. Great question. The toes look “worn”, as these boots are veg tanned, a tanning process where original fibers of the animal's hide are visible, making each piece of leather unique. The boots are new (I took them outside and took more pics so you’d be able to see better). Vegetable tanned leather is much different than “chrome-tanned”, which will give you a more consistent “solid color” leather. Thank you for asking.
