rpolak00 Did this jacket ever sell? If so I’m curious to know for how much. I’m asking because I have the same jacket but in brown with light brown fur that I’m looking to sell. I can’t find it anywhere online to know what a decent asking price would be. Your post is the closest (and only) thing I’ve found.

Thank you for saying that I’m QUITE aware how nice it is because it is my fathers and he both has better style than me AND hardly wears a lot of the things he buys even more than I do. Plus, he’s had it since 97. And he is a leather EXPERT, and he collects knives and watches so he’s a collection expert. He told me his bottom for this jacket and I’ll be honest he didn’t put a ton

raebowbarbie @rpolak00 of wiggle room there because he said the amount of leather it has alone is worth 3-4 hundred plus it’s Timberland plus it’s from 97 plus it’s MINT The list goes on. I feel it’s more than fairly priced here if I weren’t trying to move product fairly quickly, I would’ve priced this around 1500 in a vintage boutique in person or a vintage specific boutique Poshmark. I hear you though I couldn’t find anything either! I hope these details help and thanks For vouching

rpolak00 Thank you for the response. I too have had it since 97. Well, technically it was my brothers and I found it several years back and held onto it. It’s only been worn a few times. It has slight distressing (lighter areas of brown) down the zipper area. however In my eyes that only adds to the character of a vintage jacket and may even slightly increase the value. But like I said I have no idea what that value would be. Knowing the original price of the jacket in 1997 would be interesting.

rpolak00 I just had a crazy idea and went to web.archive.org and typed in timberland.com. I think their first website started in 1998 so I opened it up and was able to search it lol. In November of 98 they had a few different leather jackets from $500-600. The one closest resembling ours is $600 however it’s just a standard bomber jacket. Not as nice as ours imo. $600 in 1997 is just over $950 today. Being 22 years old and vintage does something like this appreciate or depreciate?
