Hi, just to let you know this is not a Tiffany & Co. Paloma Picasso designer bracelet. It is a Tiffany & Co. Oval Clasping Link Bracelet. It is designed to not only have an invisible clasping mechanism but also so charms can be easily attached on the invisible clasps. I am a former Tiffany & Co. employee and very familiar with this bracelet. This is not one of the Paloma Picasso pieces.

@handbagexpert TY:) This bracelet is so rare that Tiffany has to take the bracelet and the charm , then it has to be sent to NYC Tiffany. They then attach the charm.
I am familiar with the other bracelet that you are talking about which each individual link opens individually:)

@stylebytory All of the Tiffany silver charm bracelets which do not have the clasping links, have to be sent to the NYC workroom to have the charms soldered on. There are no bench jewelers on-site to do the work. The exception is the clasping link bracelet where anyone can slip the charms on and rearrange them at will. However, every other link is a stationary no clasping link. If you want a charm soldered onto one of those links, it needs to be sent to the NYC workroom.

@stylebytory P.S...no bench jewelers are on-site in any of the branches to do solder on the charms. Everything goes to the NYC workroom.

@handbagexpert Yup, I am so in love with Tiffany ever since my husband bought me my engagement ring from there I was hooked. I love everything “Atlas” line.

@handbagexpert what is a bench jeweler?
Dec 13Reply

randy1951
@stylebytory just measure with a ruler!
Dec 13Reply

handbagexpert
@randy1951 A bench jeweler is an artisan who has a lot of skills they use to repair jewelry and make jewelry. A bench jeweler makes wax molds to make jewelry, set stones in mountings, engravings, etc. I hope that helps.

randy1951
@handbagexpert so they are the backbone of making the jewelry. Lol do they make original one of a kind Tiffany pieces? Or repair broken jewelry too???

randy1951

Dec 14Reply

handbagexpert
@randy1951 Yes, depending on they’re experience and skill determines which pieces, one of a kind, repairs or otherwise, a bench jeweler works on. Also, you’re very welcome.
