A petal necklace designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany Co.
Beautiful and youthful Ptal necklace, created by Cummings for Tiffany Co.,back in the 1976. This piece is part of the collection from the 1976-1977 and has been crafted in 18 karats yellow gold, displaying one element in the shape of a petals, carved from natural translucent white nacre.
Have total weight of 7.2 grams and the measure of the pendant is 25.2 mm by 25.1 mm.
The chain has a lenght of 17.5 Inches (44 Cm).
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed in full; "TIFFANY CO.", "C", HONG KONG .750".
Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
A very nice and rare collector's piece, both her signed pieces for Tiffany Co. created in the 1970's and 1980's and also her own exclusive pieces, remain highly collectible and are admired for their beauty, comfort and easily recognizably in style.
Note: We have never saw this model as a pendant necklace, always in earrings, this is the first time.
